This house is influenced by many architectural languages, from the American barn to the Shingle Style.  It features sweeping porches that wrap around the house, offering both a spatial separation between the inside and outside while permitting active flow between the outside and inside.  It retains a sense of balance, despite its actual asymmetry, through equally distributed dormers, chimneys, and columns.
