Initial logo design for University of Chicago's Green Campus Initiative. The focal image in the logo is a human footprint; GCI prides itself on human initiative and innovation to drive its program forward. Thus, I wanted the logo to elicit human form. The foot very clearly conveys this, as well as tying to the concept of carbon footprints. The decision to employ a serif font harks back to the interest in portraying a human form. The letters, at this point, remain slightly disjointed and require polish.
