Hesterly describes this video as "an exploration in nostalgia...a tribute to man's various achievements in transportation and technology". The amount of detail achieved using only simple shapes is impressive; the transitions are smooth and the images are crisp; the changing gradient of the sky is subtle and elegantly executed. The song, from the movie Fantastic Mr. Fox, lends to the playful and inventive character of the short film. Plus, I'm loving vintage-inspired works right now.
